The Old Smithy is a detached cottage for rent, located in the pretty village of Jacobstowe close to Okehampton and Dartmoor. Formally an Old Forge the cottage has been renovated to a very high standard and sleeps four people. The cottage benefits from having a family bathroom and shower room en suite of the master bedroom. In addition to a modern well-equipped kitchen and comfortable lounge there is a charming landscaped garden with seating area. The cottage has all-year round appeal being very cosy in the winter and perfect for summer holidays.
The cottage is situated on a quiet lane (just off the The Tarka Trail). Jacobstowe is centrally located between the North and South Devon coast, with the nearest beaches being Bude and Widemouth Bay.
The Eden Project is just under an hour drive and the stunning scenery and walks of Dartmoor, Castle Drogo and Lydford Gorge are just a short drive away.
There are several golf courses within a 5 – 10 minute drive from the village.
